WHAT IS AN ANIMAL HEALTH CERTIFICATE?
Animal Health Certificates (AHCs) are issued by an Official Veterinarian (OV) to confirm that a pet meet the legal requirements for travel to another country. These certificates ensure that animals entering a destination are free from diseases, microchipped, vaccinated against rabies, and fit to travel. Most countries require a valid health certificate before entry to protect animal welfare and public safety. Without one, pets may be refused entry, quarantined, or delayed at the border.

Eligibility check
Your pet must be microchipped, at least 15 weeks old and vaccinated against rabies. The rabies vaccine must be administered at least 21 days before the Animal Health Certificate can be issued. Please note that this rule only applies if this is the first rabies vaccine or a re-start if the vaccine lapsed.
